Pick Me Up:Riding Lawn Mowers 8/15/08-8/22/08

Did you realize that you can buy your next riding lawn mower on ebay?  The catch?  You will probably have to pick it up.  What you need to do is search for Lawn Mowers within your area.

Here’s a couple that are listed at decent prices, but in awkward locations (at least for me).  Maybe one of these fits your need and location.

Troybuilt 17.5 HP – Current $350. in Florence Kansas.

Lawn Garden 18 HP – C $9.99, Bucks County PA

Cub Cadet – C $.99, Braidwood, IL

Snapper 28 inch – C. $50., Greenwich, CT

Tips 101: Searching

Ebay has a wonderful search engine on-site.  I recently talked to a woman that uses Google to look up ebay items.  Tried it.  Not that efficient.

Lets try a simple walk through of a basic search.  Remember, this is basic stuff, and you probably already knew it, but like my wife said when I showed her a few things, “I didn’t know that.”

When searching, it helps to know what your looking for.  If your looking for Cameras, but you don’t have a specific one in mind, you could type in camera on the search bar.

If your satisfied with looking through all the junk that is considered camera orientated then your done.  However, to narrow your search, use the options on the left.  If your wanting all the options in Camera & Photo then click that option, that will exclude all the other catagories.  You then have all the catagories within the Camera & Photo division avalaible to you.  If you know your just wanting Digital camera’s, then select that option.

You now have some choices that will help define your camera.  You can choose type, brand, Mega-Pixel, optical condition, condition, bundled items, and seller.

If you choose type, point and shoot, you then can choose your brand,, and then whither you want it new or not.

You can also choose whither or not you want it to come with a case or a extra charger or whatever by selecting in the bundled items division.

While this search has been on cameras, the basic idea is the same with Cell Phones, or whatever your looking for.

Happy shopping!

Product Focus: QWERTY Cell Phones

QWERTY Phones are all the rage.  That’s the phone with a fully functional keyboard, to all us unlearned folks.  For texters, or those from Textas, this type of phone is a must have.   Here’s what I have found out on ebay about these phones.

Unlocked means that it is able to be used without a new contract.

AT&T/Cingular has the highest amount of Qwerty’s available on ebay. Probably due to their unlimited text messaging plan.

If you list it, they will come.  Almost every phone that is not listed as Buy-it-now, has bidders.

There are several popular phones.  Lets cover a few.

LG F9100- Can be had new for $128, used for $75.

Blackberry Curve – Can be had new for $319,

Sidekick II – Can be had refurbished for $134

Please feel free to leave your QWERTY listings.

Thanks for visiting my ebay blog.

My ebay user id is rambo1 and i have a lot of different items for sale.  Although from time to time I may mention an item or two I’m trying to sale, I really just wanted a place where I could share my ebay journey’s with others.

Along the way I’m learning alot of different tips and secrets.  I’m also learning what not to do.  I hope that there will be others that will pick up the torch with me and help make the journey easier for each other.

I also from time to time may do features such as a weekly spotlight on a different subject or item.  For instance, one week I may discuss shopping for or selling digital camera’s.  I may discuss selling baby clothes.

Whatever becomes of this blog, I hope you enjoy the ride.  I plan to.
